The Think Local First! campaign is designed to encourage residents and visitors to think local first when purchasing goods and hiring. In numerous studies, retailers in towns and cities with “Buy Local" campaigns reported an increase in sales.
As a Think Local First! member you will receive:
- A membership kit with a window sticker, retail display poster, and point-of-purchase promotional and educational Think Local First! materials.
- Free web ad on this Think Local First! website.
- The benefit of ongoing advertisements and press releases in local media educating consumers about the availability of local products and services, and benefits of buying locally.
- The benefit of customer-focused activities and ongoing promotions designed to increase sales in local businesses.

Eligible Retailers
Think Local First! invites any retailer with a store on Nantucket to join.
Eligible Service Businesses
Think Local First! invites all service businesses based on Nantucket who employ Nantucket people to join us. This includes businesses such as those engaged in construction and renovation, home maintenance, accounting, graphics design, web development, professional services, etc.
